Re: Purple Haze soft hackle

I like this soft hackle version nicely done. I've seen the dry type Purple Haze and tied some of these Purple Haze lighting bug, and some good success with those, but never seen it as a soft hackle version, but will be giving these a try.

Catchy name :) I like this one with the pick backend ... cute and should be a good fish catcher here too.

Like these soft hackle streamers, also reminds me a bit of the Carey Special which I've had good success with.

Re: Great Hackle Sections

I use to order from JimsflyCo a while back but their shipping costs have gotten a bit too much for me. They do have an excellent selection of hackle too.

Re: Edge Bright?

Now that is a really unique use of Edge Bright, very cool :) I pickup some of this about a year or so ago from an Ebay seller that had about a dozen sheets in different colors. I use it for allot of the panfish patterns I tie here. It does make for some very interesting body and underbody material. ...

Very nice variation on a Sparrow. Brahma hens do make for some great soft hackles, one of my favorites ;)

Re: video - Birds Nest

Nicely done Hans, like the idea of the scruffy thorax, with the split thread. This is one of those great all around patterns for just about any fish.
