I have a nice CA quail skin.. but haven't found many flies that call for quail feathers...I tie my flies to fish and substitute at will, but it is nice to tie with the materials called for by the old recipes. Any particular patterns that quail could substitute for another bird?

I'm sure it must have been posted before, but could you instruct a newbie on tips for adding photos to posts. I don't mean how to insert an image, but taking decent pictures of flies and making them presentable for the forum...thanks...

I’ve used all of Bill Bailey’s waxes an can personally attest to their excellent quality. I’d recommend the tiers wax, for starters on dubbed silk bodies for Flymph. Roadkill and letumgo, thank you Bill for introducing me to the forum, and letumgo for allowing me on. What a terrific resource! I now have another reason to spend hours on the computer studying more flies to tie and tips to learn...my wife will be eternally grateful.... well maybe not....
