Buy the wax produced by the above author = problem solved. OR Make your own. My favorite mix is this: One small block of beeswax (octagon shaped, about the size of a “chunky” candy. I had my first good face drag at Ft. Bragg, on St. Mere Eglise during SFQC…..We jumped in a strong wind with FULL rucks and weapons, resulting in a “toe to face” plant for me. Capewells were full of sand so I couldn’t release the canopy. Thank God I was in my early 20s…. :shock:

Spar varnish - when I was a kid, it’s with all the old guys in Roscoe used, so that’s what I stuck with.
Works great, a few bucks gets a multi generational supply.
