Those all look great. One of the great challenges I have yet to successfully engage is trout taking tiny midges on top. This is a pattern I need to borrow.

Made these up for summer trip. They worked! Had in mind a brown drake nymph. Not sure if that’s what the fish took it for. Used the longer, lower barbs of grouse feathers for the tail and legs, and saved the tips for spiders (stay tuned). Abdomen is some kind of hare’s ear + antron blend with a wink...

I may have caught one fish ever on a starling purple (too lazy to buy snipe). Purple zebra midges, however, kill.
