Re: Squirrel Soft Hackles
Very nice, Wayne. Squirrel is a favorite of mine. Two questions. Are you using a split thread technique with the squirrel? What is that rib? It has just a bit of flash, but nicely understated. Thank you Ron. For buggy patterns I would hate to be forced to pick between Haresmask and Squirrel . I tru...

Over Sized Feathers
Size 14 Yellow softhackles. They are tied with over sized Mallard dyed Wood Duck flanks. They do not always turn out pretty, but I do enjoy tying and fishing them. https://i.postimg.cc/4dBs4WXB/20240522-080236.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Gttr4v2r/20240522-081313.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/gj7p8rXh/202405...

Re: Little Olives
Holy moly!!! That is awesome that you did a side by side test on them. It never fails to amaze me that sometimes it's a tiny detail that can make a pattern produce.

Re: a Trout Nightmare
Holy smokes it took forever to log in. I do a little night time , lake fishing when the mosquitos allow. I am very interested in in the Lumo beads. I have a lot of luminescent thread. Would it be possible to use this with or instead of the beads to achieve similar results? Excellent fly pattern, Bill.
