Re: Bead Thoraxed Soft Hackled Nymphs

Ray I really don't know the correct answer to your question, as I started with gold beads and have used them ever since. Re: Grouse and Flash

Nice to see such a beautiful fish rising from the Sacramento. Baz, are there any lingering issues from the Dunsmuir spill still affecting the waters there? Alan Petrucci (SSR) ties a wonderful little Grouse and Flash that I've stolen and it works wonderfully on the small stream brookies up here. It...

Re: Tups

Fly tying is a great pastime, or in my case a necessity to fish with. For those who don’t know, in the U.K. there are fly tying clubs. I belonged to a couple and surprisingly enough many of the members don’t fish. It’s a art form, so tying new patterns is often very pleasing to the eye, but don’t co...

Re: Chadwick's 477 Substitute?

The Oyster is a very good match. The Semperfi is not. I have some genuine 477 if you would like a sample please send me you contact info via a pm. I’ll include some Oyster as well.

[quote=Bazzer69 post_id=97773 time=1572926349 user_id=2136] I was fishing today on the Sacramento River for one or two Sac Footballs i today and in the past have experimented with Mylar vs Tinsel’s. Guess which wins hands down, not the flashy flies. My copies ...
