It's just too much fun!
I agree, itis a fun technique. I could not argue about any of our fly selection either. Great patterns.

Ha! I worked a different section of the Gunnison and did twice as good as yesterday with my one Euro trout. Yep, caught two. Soft hackles are still bailing my a$$ out. Weird, I can pound the fish on the Roaring Fork Euro Nymphing. The Gunnison is hurting my feelings

Do any other members of this forum find Soft Hackles so versatile?
Never leave home without them for over half a century!

I doubt there are many people in the world that have as big of a Softhackle fascination as you and I do.
I am seriously enjoying the patterns you post.

I doubt there are many people in the world that have as big of a bug/fly fascination as I do including many other stages of metamorphosis.
They are in the running if they have a stereo 20 to 40 power microscope.

I also use soft hackled flies when Czech nymphing. It's a great way to key on what the fish really want. I find if the fish keep taking the soft hackled flies I then switch out the nymph and fish a duo soft hackle rig.
