I have been playing with Tupps dressings for a couple of days now.
Hook.Daiichi 1550 size 12.
Silk. Pearsalls gossamer Primrose.
Tail. Medium ginger cock.
Body. Yellow button hole twist.
Rib. Fine oval gold tinsel.
Thorax reddish yellow cream mix of Sealex.
Hackle. Honey Dun.

The Tups color blend was given to me many years ago by Poul Jorgenson. When I questioned him about it he said it was right on and to stay away from Rams

I use the same colors. I wonder if there's another fly pattern tied in so many little variations. :)

The Tups is a rabbit hole I fell into before, got out, but have fallen in again. Originally it was a dry fly but Skues turned it into a wingless wet. This version tied Jingler style is a cross between the two. It has a thorax of Tups blend dubbing fronted by a hen ginger soft hackle fronted by a pink dry rooster Hackle. Rarely seen the jingled style of fly tying is very useful or so the Fish seem to think.. I will attempt to climb out of the hole but it is a long way up.
