A very successful pattern this past week on a Colorado Freestone river.
In some flyfishing circles it is believed that by using this pattern, you are condemning five future generations to the underworld.
This pattern can not and should not be viewed in its entirety. Like the Ark of the Covenant, mere mortal men can die just by seeing a glimpse of it.

I've never used this fly and I'll never do it again......and this might have been where it happened

I have been having counselling since reading this post! My counsellor reckons it will be a long job and I may never use purple again in a dressing. That is very serious since Snipe & Purple spider is my favourite fly.
