I'm gonna try to swing up a big, cannilbalistic brown. What do you guys think?

I think these are gorgeous flies (lovely color schemes and excellent attention to details). They will work very well for you. Is the hackle on the first one blue eared pheasant (BEP)? Lovely stuff, whatever it is.

I am a fan of the flatwing profile, and have used this myself in the past. I like the way they swim.

Great looking flies! I am drawn to the yellow one, it just screams baby brown trout to me. Both flies are really well tied. The hackle is tucked in tight behind the tinsel rib to help protect the stem. Those should be durable as well as being very lifelike in the water, lots of movement.

I, too, am curious about the body hackle. I thought BEP as well, but in a couple shots it looks mottled. Lovely stuff, but what is it?

The body hackle is ringneck pheasant rump hackle, the feathers right next to the tail.

If a Brown or Bow has the least bit of predator instinct, those patterns should trigger a very violent reaction. That, and your flies look dang sexy!

Rear body yellow floss ribbed w/ flat gold tinsel
Front body yellow seal or substitute ribbed w/ french tinsel
Body hackle ringneck pheasant rump blueish/grey color
Front hackle same rump feather, this time a brownish one
Wing Blue wing teal body feather tied flat

Baby Rainbow spey
Same hook as above
Rear body silver tinsel
Rib magenta ultra wire
Front body pink uni floss
Rib magenta wire
Body hackle Ringneck rump
Wing ringneck rump tied flat
