For lack of a better description, I bought these awhile back and thought that they might be good to use in Tup's soft hackle dressings.

Are those Collins necks?

Got them years ago from Dave Roberts at the Feather Emporium. Probably were from Whiting.

I have a couple from Whiting's Hebert Minor line that are favorites. Those with the white or very light gray are used to hackle PMD's. That color was suggested by Syl Nemes in one of his books.

I have a few hen capes from the Feather Emporium that have various shades of grey near the s=stem and then various shades of reddish-brown on the outside. They are some of my favorite feathers to use.

Very nice, Bob. When I worked at Jim's place I bought several Hebert Minor "Honey Dun" necks with a wide range of colors, both in the list and on the tips. I'm finally getting to the point that I may have to replace some of them as they are getting kind of bare in the sweet spot. I am somewhat dismayed that the color selection isn't what it once was.

Those are both beauties ......very hard to find those colors and quality now. Are the barbs thin and limber?

Yep, I've had no problem with them over the years.
