I miss our old friend Donald. Has anyone heard from him recently?

Ray, Howdy;

I received an email from Donald's email address that was written by his nephew Alan.
It was written on 5th May 2017, here's the contents;

Hi Hank and Rascal,'

This is Alan, Donald's nephew.
Donald's eyesight has deteriorated over the last few years and he has asked me to reply to your email.
At the moment he is content with listening to the radio, audiobooks and having a good old chat.
We are now looking at various sight aids to assist him with daily tasks, and he remains optimistic that
he may find a way to return to reading again and indeed fly-tying.
He is generally in good health otherwise, and sends his best wishes.
