Some shades of fur are more desirable than others;

I know that's the way it works in nature, but I still find it sad ...

These things make a lot of people feel sad, but that is solely the result of anthropomorphisation. Emotional connections to wild animals, although very common, are not sensible at all. These creatures are subject to natural laws, not human ideas. Survival of the fittest being the main imperative.

...and I believe man was given dominion over the beast of the Earth...that does NOT mean license to abuse animals and fish and such, just the right to pursue (as in hunt and fish for) all creatures as long as they are not endangered...When we as humans give animals and fish human emotions and feelings (anthropomorphisation) we do them and ourselves a disservice...

Jus like an ablino in other species. They get driven out to the outside to protect the norm.

It seems unfortunate but it's the way it is. It's how a species survives.

Sounds just like people. We can be as sympathetic as we like to cute and cuddly creatures but we ain't so nice to each other.

Actually maybe that's why we're here (flymph forum) and they're (the rest of the world) out THERE. :lol: Just kidding!
