Tinsels & Wires from FF&FT

Post by DNicolson » Tue Nov 15, 2011 6:16 am

I don't know how many of you are familiar with the British magazine
Fly Fishing & Fly Tying - http://www.flyfishing-and-flytying.co.uk/
I think it is the best Fly Fishing magzine in the world.
It is published in Scotland, so I may be predjudiced.

The main thought is, that as many views of a technique or any info,
can only improve your Fly Dressing abilities.
I have copied a Guide to Tinsel Sizes that was published in page three of
the Articles -
Fly Tying section. http://donaldnicolson.webplus.net/page482.html

I have just realised, that to get to a lot of the info, you have to become a
subscriber, crafty buggers.
Well! what do you expect, they are based in Scotland. ;)

Thank you Donald for that link. I have been totally absorbed in reading that magazine's website. If the subscription fee weren't so high for those out of the country, I'd for sure sign up for a year. It looks like a wonderful magazine.

Flyfishing & Flytying as well as Trout fishing are the only two magazines I buy. I first discovered Flyfishing&Flytying in the mid Nineties. It runs a month behind on the news stand or book stores over here.
