OK So I kind of enjoyed the little discussion on good hackle pliers. How about decent bobbins to handle small spools like Pearsalls silk? One that's not too expensive. Also how about your favorite scissors? Ones that work for smaller flies. I have a pair that work well but I wouldn't mind having a pair with a little bit finer thinner points.

There were a couple posts on hackle pliers and their history. Like how long ago hackle pliers were being used. Wonder about bobbins.

For Pearsall's I prefer Materelli which are no longer available. For scissors, last year I bought a pair of Dr. Slick razor's the best I have ever used.

Renzetti makes a ruby tip midge bobbin that isn't terribly expensive. Ken Newton makes a very nice midge bobbin but it is more expensive. Most of the others that are available have already been mentioned previously.
