Yesterday, I finished the last 18 flies (Pritt's #62 - Black Snipe) to put in the 32 compartment storage box of North Country flies. Now to start tying some various colored Pheasant Tail, Hare's Ear, and other soft hackles / flymphs more in tuned to US-style of dressings, plus a few of the Rev. Powell / Moc Morgan / Dai Lewis dressings.

I'm speechless. All I can say is, amazing group of flies.

How long have you been working on this box of flies?

About 4 - 6 weeks. Due to back problems, I can only tie a half dozen or so at a time, then rest. Do that 3 or 4 times a day until I get 12 - 18 of the same pattern completed, then move on to the next dressing.

PS- now working on a few soft hackles with a bead thorax and then on to various nymphs. I tie LOTS of flies for the heck of it, even if I seldom / ever fish them!

Very impressed. You are doing what I would like to do but never quite get round to doing it. I am looking forward to seeing the next phase - happy tying.

I'm pretty well stocked with Spiders, soft hackles, nymphs and the few dries that I fish. So, the "next phase" is that I have a bunch of Cookshill materials to convert into hairwing and soft hackled spey / salmon flies.
