Nightwatchman,
Excellent combination of two of the greatest materials in the fly tying world, Pheasant tail and Plover! I really like this combination! I think we all go thru the usual cycle of Starling and PT, Partridge and PT, Hen and PT....but, your combination has that certain "buggy" appeal! I can't wait until you flounce these in front of your favorite friends (the finny ones)!

I would bet with that color scheme those flies would be awesome in murky water right before run off starts.
Very nice looking flies.

Dana,
I have no previous experience with this pattern. It was mentioned over on the Bamboo Forum--pheasant tail, plover, and orange thread, so I just thought I would give it a try!
My photography skills are rather limited, but I tried..............
Fly after it was dipped in water with same background as original post:

Fly is actually in a small bowl of water on top of original blue background:

If I was a fish and I saw the fly in picture #3, I think I would eat it!

Ken,
That pattern looks great! Very good combination of colors and good segmentation on the ribbing.
That fly will catch fish!
