Well done Pat.

I tie and fish the same fly and it's really effective.

When this happens, I use a pair of small tweezers to pull off the stray fibers, before adding a small drop of head cement. The fibers sometimes make it hard to cleanly apply the head cement.

Thanks Ray but I’ve nit had good experiences with any head cement or lacquer on silk thread. In many cases for me it has ruin the look of the fly by turning the thread head into a dark ugly color. So now I just wax a little extra on the thread when I’m tying off and leave it at that.

As soon as I saw the fly I thought to myself, The Saint Patty's Day Special. ;)

Beautiful on how the green compliments the hackle. I find green is a very effective color, especially in the Spring.
