Bronze Peacock & Young Starling

Several years ago, I was able to get a "young starling" skin from Cookshill and a friend gave me some bronze-colored peacock herl. Ended up with a few of these.

I really like the different looks that a good bronze herl can give you. Nice ties, Bob.

The dun color of the young starling is extremely appealing. What region of the bird are these feathers from? Are they body feathers, or wing feathers (coverts)?

Bob,
These are delicious looking patterns that are guaranteed to kill! My hog like Bluegills would vacuum these up in a hurry! The combination of these two birds on a great looking iron will do well where ever you fish them! I also love your tying style in these and the many patterns you have shared with us in the past!

You got me! I did these quite awhile back and just found the .jpg recently. If I recall correctly (???), I think the hackles were wing feathers. Sorry I couldn't be more precise.
