The Grey and silk.

Just to experiment how the silk (waxed) (Gassamer) works out with dubbingbrushes.

The hook is: B 175 #12, the thread: sheer 14/00, the hackle brahma hen golden straw saddle.

Ruard, I don't think anyone could ever ask for anything more than that. These are absolutely working for me and I'd fish them day in and day out. The qualities of those bodies are spot on in my eye the over all proportions nailed it. Great set.

Here are the last experiments with brushes by now:

Again the hook is the B 175 #12, thread yellow sheer 14/00, the hackle is for the blue one a woodcock uppercouvert and for the yellow and red a brown mottled hen saddle hackle.

The dubbing is the guardhairs of a hare.

First three flymphs dry and then three wet ( hope you will appreciate the wet ones Lance :D :)

Fantastic! The blue ones are my favorite, but they are all terrific. Can you share your technique for taking these wet shots? What does your set-up look like?

Your experiments have produced some lovely flies, Ruard. Both dry and wet, they sparkle with creativity.

As you can see the fly is upside down, with Microsoft picture manager you can easy rotate it normal.
