I picked up part of a China Rooster skin(no tail) at the NW Expo that was dyed Brown and caught my eye.

It led to this fly...

Here is the Rainbow Trilobal Nylon I blended with the beaver in about equal proportions.

You can see the glint of the nylon all over the body...

the dubbing comes close to the shade of the Black Peacock Ice Dubbing I use.

My next blend will use all the colors of the UV Trilobal Nylon I have with the beaver for a hot body steelhead fly.

Just Google Firestar Trilobal Nylon fibers, many fiber arts shops have it.

I bought from 2 different ones.
This has come a long way from starting with LaFontaine and Dazzleaire from a craft shop decades ago.
