Happy Days!! :D
They are the Yin & Yang of soft hackles, one rough & bulky- the other slim and trim. Both beautifully executed and very well photographed, well done good Sir's.

Dearest Forum Friends,
Thank you for being patient with me about posting the recipes for the two patterns that friend Bill has photographed and posted here! I would like to answer Ray's question about the prairie hen used on #1. Sorry Ray, it's a very webby feather from an India Hen Cape that I purchased years ago. It just seemed to go quite nicely with the pattern at hand! It does remind me of the wonderful prairie chicken hen that I was given several years ago by a local fellow that I know that makes a pilgrimage about every other year out west to hunt these birds and ring-necked pheasants! Due to some health problems with both he and his wife, they have not been able to make the trip lately! I jokingly ask every time I see him if he has made plans to hunt the west and he regrettably says no and we go thru the processes all over again and.....I do appreciate the fact that he usually comes home with at least something when he gets to go!
I promise that tomorrow I will post them so for now,
Yours with sleepy eyes,
Doug
