Thanks again, for all the kind comments. I have another molten fly in the swap thread, I'll post it here with an SBS in the near future.
Donald, the brand of the orange fly line backing is Hardy, but no indication of the actual material composition. The yellow "molten" fly to be posted is from an old reel and I have no idea how old or what brand, but it worked exactly the same, for what that's worth.
