I think I have dialed in my photography skill enough to show you a Red PT Soft Hackle I have been tying. I have not used it yet, but plan to this Summer. Red has given me some headaches, but here it goes.
Hook- Mustad 3906 size 12
Thread - 8/0 Uni-Thread Red
Tail - Red Pheasant Tail
Abdomen - Red Pheasant Tail
Rib - Red Copper Wire Xsmall
Thorax - Peacock Herl
Collar - Light Brown Hen Hackle

Heres it's little cousin. A PT Nymph Red. I have used this pattern for about 4 years now. It is a knock off of a Red PT tyed by Charlie Craven, a pretty dang good Colorado Tyer .

Thorax- Red Dubbing
Wingcase- Red Pheasant tail
Legs- 1 Pheasant tail barbule to each side.

I dont carry alot of these. Maybe 4 or 5 at the most. This pattern does extremely well for me about the time the rivers become gin clear after Spring runoff.
