Lovely fly--for some reason, blue dun hackle tied short really looks right to me. :)

In ATWF it specifically states the shortest blue dun hen hackle and 2-3 short cock fibers for the tail. I was wondering if I should have actually gone shorter when I tied these.

Nice job, especially tee dubbing blend. That looks great. I'll have to give that a try.

Nice tie, Carl. Just my kind of fly - not many moving parts, and it will attract the fishies.

It is dyed John. I have some beautiful natural duns but none of them are what I would call a blue dun. I would like to see some natural blue dun if anyone can get a shot of it.

Nice fly! I have been looking for some blue dun for a while. Missed a bid on Ebay a while back.
