Squirrel Spider

Post by Hans Weilenmann » Fri Oct 30, 2009 6:29 pm

Just a simple-simple bug to tie up in quick&easy batches. The one shown is just to illustrate the generic spider - use any color combination to match local insects, or your own confidence 8-)

More seriously - in spite of its delicate appearance I have found lemon woodduck tails to be remarkably resilient and durable, so my choice for them on many patterns is also one of practical application . Their subtle markings are a main draw for me, though, which in turn feeds into fishing with confidence.

Cheers,
