If those don't attract fish they will the fisher person. I have got to start tying more. I have been refinishing old reels instead of tying.

Very attractive patterns, Hans. I love the technique of winding the bronze mallard barbs with the copper wire rib. The technique gives a beautiful suggestion of gills.

Beautiful patterns and I love the technique as well, but when did a #16 become a small hook?

Hans, I've seen you're flies tied on small hooks and those were more like 22's, 24's. I just didn't think you would have considered a #16 as a small hook. Am I wrong?
I do like that hook a lot. That short shank and wide gap are what I tie on most often.

I understood what you meant. I do not consider #16 a particularly small hook. I do consider #16 small for attractor type flies
