Brahma & Gold

Image

Hook: Ken Sawada
Thread: 8/0 Uni Tan
Hackle: Whiting Brahma Hen
Body: 1 Strand of plastic from a supermarket onion bag
Rib: Same as the body but twisted into a cord

I tied the Brahma hackle in first and wound it back toward the bend. I like that technique. First time i tried it.

Hope its OK

Now that is one hell of a fly. I like and will add it to my arsenal.

Norm,
Now that's the ultimate in sparsness! Great job! I'm lovin' everything about this pattern.
Keep us wild animals fed with your great works!

That thing is anorexic...look how the ribs stick out.

Really though, wonderful job. Tying in hackle that way, is in my shallow opinion, the only way to do it.
