Variegated Golden Stone Flymph

I created this pattern for a trip to the Metolius on Thursday after grabbing an adult out of the air on Tuesday and seeing empty shucks on the streamside rocks.
Hook-Dai Riki 700B #6
Bead- 5/32 Brass
Thread-UTC 140 Rust Brown
Tail- Brown Rubber Legs
Body-Hare-Tron made out of twisting 2 dubbing loops together to make one variegated loop. I alternated 3 pinches each of Golden Brown & Seal Brown on one loop and 3 pinches of Dark Brown and Black on the other dubbing loop. After twisting up each loop I put both loops on one dubbing hook and wound them together to make the variegated combination.
Thorax Hackle and Hackle- Mottled Brown Hen Back

This fly counted coup on 6 out of the 7 fish I hooked up on swinging flies for a few hours.
Here is the more traditional Flymph unweighted version tied at home today on a Mustad 79580 #6...

I can't wait to get back over there again to try these together fishing at different depths in the same waters.
