I missed this one due to the power outage. My loss. That a beautiful fly, Ray. I wonder if a silver hook would serve the same purpose as painting the shank white? Hmmm.

Ron - These days, I’d probably use silver Mylar tinsel. It is highly reflective, and will rebound light thru the silk wraps.

Excellent looking flies and excellent photo. But the title makes me think of Clarise Starling in Silence of the Lambs.

Ray this is my version of your creation. I use a black starling and a bleached starling.
