Those are gorgeous. Is that a thread rib?
Thank you so much. It is greatly appreciated. Yes, that is Black UTC 140 for the rib

I will confess right now, that I am going to steal this pattern.
What does Collins call the hackle color? Is this a ginger or brown?
Would you mind taking a picture of the hen set your using? I don’t think I have this color yet.
Ray, The hen cape is Brown. It ranges from medium light in the center to dark Claret color around the edges.
The dark Claret color use to be easy for me to secure. Not so much any more.
The dark Olives I tied are with the Claret color. The lights are with the center, lighter color from the cape.
All in all I would give this Collins set a D- grade. Upon inspection there is a lot of insect damage to the saddle. Plus, there is a pasty , greasy, light residue splattered all over it. I have thrown it away. I hate looking at all that damage.
The cape, I washed in soap and dried it off with a hair dryer set on low. I decided to wash it again. There was alot of debris which is the remnants of insects. Husk, and shells.
On the second washing I used soap again, and some Sevin Garden Dust. I rinsed, dried it off, then put it in a freezer with a Hotshot Pest Strip.
In essence, I treated it like a harvested pheasant or chicken.
I like the colors of the set. I do not like the mess it was in when purchased.
Here are the photos. I drew a line where the light Brown meets the dark
