Flymasters.com sells it for $1.99.

Any comments from a user?
I bought one recently from JStockard for I think $5 (?), and it's great so far. The bead it puts on a fly head is not smaller than the bead on a bodkin, though. (That depends entirely on the dilution / consistency of the varnish.) But I do like it better. Gets the varnish to the right place without hitting other stuff on the way in, and you can use the side of the extension tube to wipe the varnish around like you might do with a bodkin. Evaporation isn't a particular problem, at least not yet. You can also use the long thin pin that goes into the tube (to close it) to clean out the eye of the hook, which is an added convenience.

I haven't used it with CA glue, but I suppose it would be fine with that too.

And the applicators.
A 3-pal is about $2.

JohnMD you have to consider what shipping is going to cost you. Yes you can find them cheaper online but after you tack on another 5 bucks for shipping are they still cheaper that buying one locally? Just a thought

Looking for applicator bottles on Amazon a d saw this. I remember someone posting a set of vintage tools with a booking like this specifically for picking up a drop of head cement and just thought I'd share if anyone wants one.

My last visit to Hobby Lobby revealed a 3-pack of applicator bottles for under $3, as I recall.

Just thought I'd let yall know yesterday I stumbled on pure acetone at dollar tree for 1.25 instead of 8-10 bucks. If you're thinning down Sally's or whatever get the pure stuff.
