close but no cigar hank.....for two reasons.....1. it's not accurate enough.....the key word was "exactly".....and 2. there's no explantion as to "how" you came to that conclusion. Quoting me won't cut the mustard.....i wanna know your thought process.....but thankx for tryin'.....and as a consolation prize.....you get one more attempt. And remember....."waiting for the inspiration to hit" are your words.....that is not my process. Once i decide to get outta bed.....i'm gonna deal with that bead.

How is by following the time line and thinking about what got this started, ffluterffly's post about the grasshoppers, I back-tracked to FFluterffly's post found my post about "Looks like a job for, da-ta-dahhhhh........ willowhead !" shows as posted at 6:03 pm (w-h time zone 12th/Aug./2011).
So, the next post was by yourself at 10:31 pm. (w-h timezone 12th/Aug./2011), where you said; "here goess.........i had this hook (Alex Hayes light wire), in the vise........one-a-the-vises.........lol..........and had a fly goin' on it........but i was stuck, as to what to do next. The fly had two or three of the elements (parts of the recipe), finished already and i just didn't exactly know where i was gonna go next.........well, it's finished. i call it, The Ass-Backwards Grasshopper From Mars. And your gonna need one hell of an imagination.......rotmfflmaffao."
Your next paragraph was;
"It wasn't until hank went postal, that i got the idea as to how to finish the fly.........thankx hank..........some strange ****......... .......go figure."
So, that said, I don’t know exactly when you read it or how long it took you to finish it. Exactly when (which stage or where in the tying process), was by the clock ...somewhere around 7:00 pm w-h timezone. during the process ... placement of the bead (which direction faces which way), where the spots go.
B…… Final answer
hank
