I found this stuff by accident when a cushion I bought fell apart!

I am experimenting with this right now, and if I come up with anything interesting I will post the result. This is also available "siliconised", which presumably makes it waterproof? I have not yet got any of the siliconised stuff.

Check the cushions in your house! You might already have some. The cushion I bought cost 1.99 Euros in a supermarket and has more or less a lifetime's supply.

I've used tones of that stuff, well not tones, but I've used it for several types of salt and post on dries. One pillow a life time.

Thanks for the dying link Mike. I've got some of that fill here but haven't used it much because of the colour. It's really BRIGHT white. Gonna give a try to dying some.

There are various textures available. The stuff I have is very fine, and you can cut it to any length you want. The fibres are very long in the stuff I have, but it is no problem to cut it.

Good eye, and no need, likely, to buy it. I've actually seen tumbleweeds of this material rolling down the streets in the urbanized New West (US). Keep an eye out on the curbs (or, sadly, vacant lots), especially on trash days or moving days, for soft furniture—recliners, sofas, pillows, couch throws, chairs. It's a chance to reclaim some waste and obtain fine material on the very cheap.
