Funny you put that video on here. I watched it myself this morning. I subscribe to all his new videos. In fact, I have never made a Red Fox Squirrel Nymph before, and I am going to do that tomorrow. I have been doing a little nymph work myself. Common flies, but good ones. This is not my realm of expertise, but I am working on it. I made a Pheasant Tail Nymph, and a Gold Rib Hare's Ear. This was going to be the 3rd pattern. I love Davie's work. He makes it all look so easy.

I had watched this three days ago when the discussion on nymphs was raised. I was having trouble getting the hackle the right length and had forgotten the simple 'trick' dave used when gaging his feather. Excellent video. I just have to listen very hard to get all that information. Love his website.

BOY you said it all dd..........always something to learn...........
.........that's the first time i've ever seen that front seat/back seat (pilot/co-pilot), deer hair emerger. What a way cool (design) tye. Boy did he ever pick a perfect hook to do that fly on too.
