Swap Results for I. B. F. 2005

Post by DNicolson » Thu Dec 15, 2011 6:37 am

I have been looking in old info for my web-site going back to 2005, and I found this:-

http://donaldnicolson.webplus.net/page521.html

It may be of interest, some of our members had swaps in this.

Donald, This is very cool, but I'll have to mention that the IBF was formed around Jan of 2006. You were in the first swap (Feb 2006), myself, Jim S, Mark L, Aaron L, Hans W, Joe Fox, and some great sports who were part of what turned out to be a significant number of conversations. Those heated conversations regarding the definitions of soft-hackles were inspiring to me, obviously. Roy was certainly part of those conversations, and no doubt his Flymph swap was the result of them. I'm not even sure why I felt compelled to write a correction, it's of little consequence, only for accuracy sake, I guess. I love this post though.

I actually just wrote to Jim and mentioned what an interesting phenomenon those conversations turned out to be. They certainly changed/directed my pursuit of this sport in a major way.

I think you may be right William, I can't remember exactly, a lot of swap info I had, has
disappeared into another dimension and I was guessing a bit. It may have been an FAOL swap.

I entered my Muskrat flymph in that swap. I still have the pic on my PhotoBucket page. I have been looking at the pics on the first page of the swap, and I was telling myself i have seen those flys before. I didnt think of looking at the second page. When I did, low and behold there was my little Muskrat. Deja vu!
