Oh, while I am STILL thinking about this...will they put a color mark on the spool, so you will know the exact color you have? Now is a good time to start that, while they are switching over. It is maddening to me, that the colors are not labeled. (with name and number preferably) I write on my spools with a fine permanent marker. It still comes off the side of the spool. The labels many times come off the spool that were their labels, when you put them in a bobbin. Some of the yellows for example, are hard for me to tell what is what. I have several browns too. Without labels, I'm up a creek.

Kelly - I appears the new spools will have the number called out on the paper label, but it is unlikely to be stamped onto the spool. Once the spool has been used, the number is likely to be wore off or the paper label ruined.

Howdy All;

This changes, that changes, ..... we fly tiers are just not as large a number
as the embrodery (sp?), folks or the hair folks. We don't buy as much as often
so, ... we end-up in the backseat while the lunitics run the asylem. :roll:

Ray, yes that would be good, if they stayed on the spool. The Pearsall label is bad about popping off. Maybe it is my bobbin. Matarelli. I only have one bobbin for the small stuff, so that means they go on, and off, all the time. That means they are more likely to come off. Thanks for pointing that out Ray. Maybe after I print the name on there, with a permanent marker, I should put uv resin over it.

Kelly - You're right about the labels falling off. Irritating. This is how I keep the colors straight. I have several of the small 6 compartment Plano boxes. The Pearsalls spools fit nicely in the compartments on their ends. I just have to make sure I put each spool back when I'm done with it. I've never bothered with the numbers, only the color names.

Hank, that made me smile.

Rodger, I like that idea. You wouldn't believe how many boxes I have...lol. I do my hooks similar to that. My gossamer spools are all in a baggy, inside a drawer... I like this idea. I probably have about 14 or so of these spools. Those thin little sides are rough trying to write on anyway, and make it legible. Your idea is a good one. Well, I am going to be off to the local Academy, and Hobby Lobby, and Michaels...to look for something that will work, very soon. I am sure they wonder about me sometimes..........rotfl. At least I am a woman. They won't look as hard at me fussing over something like this. :lol:

Well I bought a box today, that works wonderfully for the gossamer threads. I did have duplicates, and didn't realize it until I did the box. That is what happens when they are thrown into a baggy...rotfl. Just an update.... I just sent a message to Pearsall's Embroidery, and asked them when the new colors would be coming out to the USA. I also asked them to do a write up on this for their website. When I get a reply, I will post it here. I may just take a photo of my box, in case others want one too. There is one yellow color, that I am not sure is Primrose Yellow. It was sent to me as that, but it does not match the one I thought was Primrose Yellow. It is hard to make out the difference from the color charts.

Kelly - I would be interested in seeing a photograph. Always nice to have options/ideas.

This box is also good for threads, but I will probably use if for what few marabou silk
bobbins I have. (or my YLI silk, that is would on to regular bobbins, if they will fit)

Can someone tell me which these two yellow colors are for sure? The darker one is
old, and it is supposed to be Primrose Yellow. Maybe it is with age. The one next to it
is fairly recent, and it was sold to me as Primrose Yellow.
