Great find. I love wool yarn flies! I like how these you have are on cards, and cheap. I have lots of yarn, and wool in my stash. :D

Here's a little number I tied up using the yarn. English grouse hackle and a bit of black wool dubbed for a head on a size 14 Mustad 7957BX hook.

That is super cool, it has that vintage look to it too!

Thanks, Kelly. I am a bit of a hookaholic, and I really like tying on the older Mustad hooks. The 7957BX is 1XL and 1XS, and I ran across a treasure-trove of them on ebay and picked them up cheap a few months ago. I also use lots of Dai-Riki hooks and one of the things I have noticed about them is how small the eyes are. These older Mustad hooks have nice, big eyes, which make it easier for my old and very weak eyes to see to get the leader through them. :)

I agree about the size of eyes, on hooks. :D

Love it! The wood head is a nice touch. I must copy this! ;)

Thanks Ray. I find a little dubbing can cover a multitude of sins. ;)
