Good call Hank, no reason an abdomen couldn't be "built" with a taper of small to large discs cut from the sheet material, or they could form segmentation bands in a dubbed abdomen or thorax. Be a somewhat complicated way to form a body (if you did not cross each disc with the tying thread), but it might be interesting.

Perhaps cut thin and wrapped like a spiral staircase,
wouldn't need to be thick nor stand to far out from the shank.
otherwise it might act like a screw in the water. Stuff the space
between the Edge Bright with some dubbing or hurl from some
bird or another...
