Gunnison River Luck

I caught a lot this morning. Lots of Bows in the 14 - 16 inch range. Caught a couple big fish but couldn't manage pics. I only managed 2 Browns.

Good for you Wayne! Those are beautiful fish.

Were you float fishing today, or did you wade?

Wayne,
Just totally awesome! The 'bows are esp. beautiful! And, the patterns....Oh yeah! Excellent work! No wonder they could not stay off your line! The "ND" on your hat.....Non-descript? No Damsels? Not Dancing? Negative Discharge? Oh wait....Notre Dame! No, that's not it! Is it the initials for a fly shop close by?
Wayne, I love you to pieces so please take my ribbing as just great fun! My future son-in-law is a huge Notre Dame Fan and so was my grandpa! And, I see that you are too and that's okey dokey with me! Being born and raised in Ohio, I have to gravitate towards my home state favorite, the Buckeyes!
Your "luck" is fantastic and so are your photo's! I just cannot get enough of trout!

A great collection of fish taken on a wide range of your eminently fishable soft hackle nymphs, Wayne. Thank you for showing us how it's supposed to be done.

Somehow, I don't think there's much luck involved; more likely, skill. Beautiful flies and fishies.

Scott

Wayne - Thanks for posting my "watercolor" versions of the photos. I was looking at your original photos and could not resist the urge to convert them over to watercolors (digitally that is). I've done this with a number of your photos, then print them out and hang them behind my vice. It's a nice reminder of what "a good day" looks like. Keep living the dream... ;)

Scott, thank you for the kind words. They are much appreciated.

Ray, your water colors remind me it is not always the largest fish that creates the fondest memory. Again, thank you. Your efforts are appreciated!
