If fact even Frank Sawyer ran out of 477, his wife carried on tying Killer Bugs after his death. They had to turn to a substitute, I’m not sure what they used. You can still find one or two of the Sawyers Killer Bugs, I purchased a couple of dozen. I’m also not sure of the yarn that’s on mine. I have some of a very good substitute made by Oyster Yarn. This may be the same as Franks. I’ll dig it out. I have a card and a half of original 477 which I’m hoarding in a safe. But if anybody would like a yard or two of the Substitute, said to be identical to the orginal, please pm me your address and I’ll send you enough to tie a couple of dozen KB’s.
