hank, that's what i figured.............actually. what i don't understand is how you can ever be bored when you have all those hooks i sent you..........USE THEM. when they're gone, i'll send more.....................now you "know" what to do. See how simple that "was." ;)

w-h, Howdy;

Must be nice to be able to tell others what they " "know" what to do. See how simple that "was." ;) "

Those are presumptions that I try to make a point of Not doing as I don't presume to know what variances
are affecting someone else’s day-to-day life....... I have enough of my own.

hank

That's all I have to say about that.

Sure glad I dont take a dang thing for free. Let me pay the dollars, that is the CHEAP way out. Pushing others politics gets way too expensive for me. Thats why I NEVER hunt or fish private land, and is why I never name drop.

Good on you Hank!

w-h, Howdy;

Hooks and beads are on a return trip. Placed in the mail today.
Don't worry about sending the bamboo rod (been almost a year now anyway).

Well hank.....the hooks and beads will go to where they'll be put to good use. The only reason i was waiting to send the rod is because i didn't want it to end up unappreciated as it seems the hooks and beads were. And that is not a judgement, just an observation. Obviously you were never under any obligation to use anything........but for me, to use them is the best way to show their meaning to you. Sorry if you don't understand or agree with my thinking on the matter.....that is your perogative. i spose it is best that these things get put to proper use. Wish it had worked out otherwise, but not everyone's bag is the same. ;)

I fished this river last week. Mild temps made me think a buddy of mine and I could float it tomorrow. I am so glad I drove to that river today to scout it out. The below zero temps have changed it drasticly..... Bet I dont float before Valentines Day :(

In two days anchor ice (Ice connected to the river bed) has formed, and the so much flow ice is in there that the water looks like a Lime ICEE/Slushy. If I fish ,it will be wade and tailwater for the next few weeks.

Wayne, That looks like a really nice stretch. Looking forward to seeing new pics when the thing starts to loosen up a little. cool rigs too. I'd be in the HR dept. trying to explain my whereabouts on a regular basis. Sorry this thread went sideways. It should have been a nice one. A couple more of those beautiful carp pictures and we'll all be back on track. :D

I have never being so unprepared and so disinterested for a new season, I believe from Sept to last week I tied a total of three flies. Seeing Dubby's :) pictures kinda gets the blood stirring, can feel the itch...... and can foresee a lot of hooky in march and april. Just need the days to lengthen a small bit, that usually triggers the obsessive gene.

I better clarify my "Hooky" tactics. By noon on Friday I usually have 55 to 60 hours worked. I am not allowed to start "new" work after that. I can complete "old" work and projects, but that is all. Not a bad gig. Nobody minds if that I get a few Friday afternoons off. :-)

My sleep schedule kicks in even on days off, and thus, I am usually here checking out the newest and prettyest Soft Hackle Flymphs there are on the internet at 3:30 in the morning. Even on my day off. :( What I wouldnt give to be asleep after sunrise just once!

If the morning looks like it is going to warm some what fast today, I may run to a Tailwater. If not, I will just worry and frit at how bad the New England Patriots are going to beat up Tim Tebow and the Broncos tonight.

I hope the "Shack Nasties" dont hit anyone too hard this Winter. Spring isn't that far away. :-)
