Wingless Wet "Hatch"

I spent a couple hours at the vise today tying wingless wet flies. A nice quiet day, spent absorbed in tying.

I ended up with a variety of "this-and-that" patterns.

Ray, Howdy;

Nice looking bunch-o-bugs. :D

Been a few days, thought the crickets were warming up in the wings.
Reckon with schools letting out for Summer folks have lots on their plates
other then contributing to odd forums here an there.

A day well spent I'd say. Lovely wee flies, Ray -- buggy for sure. Love the variety of body materials/techniques.

Oh to spend just one hour at your elbow watching and learning and writing notes like a wild man! Your patterns (all of them) are beautiful beyond description! I really like when you get creative and we get to see the end results! They will bode well where ever they land!
Nice stuff Ray! Please plan these quite Sundays at regular intervals! In reality, I know that this is an impossibility because yours is about the most hectic life I have ever seen!

Good golly there is a lot to take in here. Lots to love, but that quill bodied softy with the pronounced peacock thorax in the last pic is so great, with that distinct profile makes me think more spiders should have that feature.
