"What are some of your favorite soft hackle flies for still waters? "
Howdy all . . .
Enjoy using this pattern, eyes are plastic bead chain, body SLF dubbing, unweighted fished
on a floating line, weighted on a full sinking line.

Re: Pheasant neck feathers, Suggestions ?
Been busy fishing the upper headwaters of the Kenai river, no salmon

Thanks Dubbn, for posting the Grannom Pupa by Hans Weilenmann.
Instead of the lighter colored body that Hans has in the video,
I used the dark natural Hare's ear and pheasant neck collar.

Pheasant neck feathers, Suggestions ?
Greetings to all ...
Recently acquired two nice olive pheasant skins, I've been admiring the coloring and
sheen of the neck feathers. What flymph patterns would you all suggest for these ?

John,
I would suggest tying the hackle in reverse, like you see on the Kabari Tenkara flies. The other suggestion is to tie the hackle longer than you might generally tie a soft hackle to impart a more swimming action the fly when worked in Stillwater.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'd never even ...
