That is a beautiful Black Pennell Hans.
Is it the L/S hook that is different?

Re: Jack Frost
A very nice fly, unfortunately the name has been used on a still-water lure pattern, but they do not
have patent rights on the name.

As always beautifully tied Hans, a nice variant of the 'Copper King'.

Two very nice flies Hans, known as the 'Bracken Clock' in Scotland.
'Clock' is the scots word for beetle. An excellent summer/autumn pattern.

Hi Kelly,
That is not Australian hare that Hans has been using, it was Argentinian, in the correct half of the
world but a long way from Aussie. Here is a source for it here in the UK.

This is a highly recommended stockist. ;)

Re: Tups and Blue Dun 3913B
I have noticed some of the up eyed hooks used for flymphs, seem to have a longer shank than these,
which are the standard dry fly hooks, very popular since Halfords day. They have been out of fashion for
several years, or should I say, decades. The short shank version is still obtainable, but ...

Thank you Lance, could not find it in my version of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary,
damned thing must be too 'concise'.
I had made a reasonable supposition of the meaning, but the OECD led me astray.
