Silver Doctor, The hackle was tied in, by the butt, as the first material and immediately behind the eye. After completing the body the silk was left dangling at the 1/3 point. Wonderful tie, this is suburb. A question for you. Do you spiral back over the body then forward again to tie off? Or do a quick back spiral then tie forward?

Tying some wets
Cos I'm and old bugger I love fishing Wet flies. Have used them since the Sixties. I find them deadly but also get great satisfaction form swinging them. Guess because they where used by my Father and Grandfather, wets often takes me into a nostalgic mood. Wanted to try some of those nice looking PO...
