Re: Heron Herl...

I have purchased legal heron feathers here in the States. They are pen raised birds from what I understand. Natural blue gray plus dyed colors.

Re: Water hen Bloa Clyde Style

Lovely wee fly. I found John Reid's book, Clyde Style Flies, very helpful. I actually won a tying contest on one of the British forums for Clyde style flies. I've used them with some success when the fish are being picky. Gives them something different to look at.

Re: Question - Looking for full Melanistic Pheasant skin

I bought a full skin way back in 2010 and had it stolen at a show while I was away from my table. Bought it from Dennis and Jamie Dahlke in Spokane, WA, (509)467-6900, ancientmagicusa@yahoo.com. Not sure if they are still in business, but it would be worth a phone call to find out. As an aside, that...

Those should work well. What size are you tying those?

That's a beauty, Tom. Are you using just a touch of cellire on the wing tips to keep them together?

Re: Purple gnat

Great looking purple fly. I've been a fan of purple for some time. More than a bit envious of the David Reid trout spey rods. Always wondered how a bamboo spey would feel in the hands.
