First thing to come to mind was "Sunburst". Or solar flare.
Everything is so perfectly done. Great job!

Re: Another Iron Blue
Is it possible to fall in love with a fly? If it is, then I am.SenecaLaker wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 9:12 am Here's my take on this bug.
Burgundy thread
Grey Mole Body spun in a dubbing loop
Medium Blue Dun Hackle collar
Size 12 1X Wet Fly Hook
This fly is . . . I have no words for it.
The burgundy thread really is an eye catcher.

Re: My iron blue nymph
I'd be extremely happy if I tied those flies.
They look buggy and the eyes of the hooks are very clean because of the beautiful heads you made.
Awesome job.

My bad, I am asking this question for the flies I do not plan to fish. It will be used for the flies I plan on showing at the tying expo.

Re: Wing stability
If your talking starch, like laundry starch, it washes out. I knew guys that used Dave's Fleximent and other glues. They smelled bad and didn't work all that well. My wife had some pretty good success with artist's fixative. It's a spray that is used to prevent smudging art works. Pretty tough stuf...

Re: Must watch video
There's only one thing wrong with that video and it's because it's not long enough. I enjoyed watching it very much. I liked the debate at the end, wet fly vs. dry fly. I can see both points, but I have to say I never heard the point made on the wet fly fisherman better put because I never thought o...

It's not going to seem right getting on the forum and not seeing a new masterpiece that you share wit...
