Ok- In my limited knowledge, forging is a mechanical process which aligns steel molecules to add strength - think a big burly guy hammering a piece of red hot steel on an anvil. I use a lacquer thinner, which contains toluene and acetone. Veniards Celaire used to be a favor of mine. However, I stop using it once it be a came difficult to obtain.
