Dette Fly shop just posted an excellent soft hackle tutorial. Beautiful Hendrickson Emerger pattern.

That was just awesome Ray! Was that Joe Fox at the vice? Unusual whip finishing technique at the end! Wow!

Doug - I believe it is Joe Fox (at least the voice sounds like Joe). The hand whip finish is old school. Very precise and cool.

I love this pattern. The whip finish technique is a new one to me; I'm going to have to learn how to do it.
